UGC-Malaviya Teacher Training Center Formerly Human Resource Development Centre Mizoram University, Aizawl
Mizoram University (MZU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament on 25th April 2000 which became fully functional from 2nd July 2001. It is located at Tanhril about 15 Kms from Aizawl city, the capital of Mizoram. Its campus is about 978.1988 acres with blossoming lush greeneries.
The university offers wide-ranging subjects like Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Library and Information Science, Mass Communication, Horticulture, Aromatic and Medicinal Plants (HAMP), Environmental Sciences, Extension Education & Rural Development. M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., M.S.W., M.B.A. as well as B.Tech in Information Technology along with M.Phil and Ph.D courses.
In its latest ranking, the NAAC accredited Mizoram University with an “A” Grade and today, within a short span of time, it became one of the best Universities in Northeast India.
How to Reach Mizoram University
Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram is well connected by Air India and Indigo from Kolkata and Guwahati through Lengpui Airport. Duration of the flight is about an hour. Moreover, there are also bus and Sumo services to and from Guwahati and Aizawl taking about a 12-hour journey.
