Language Laboratory was set up in Govt. Saiha College during the 2016-2017 session. All the undertakings of Language Laboratory were funded by RUSA under Equity Initiatives. Successive installments of RUSA Equiry Initiatives helped fund the progression and management of the classes .
The Committee :
Since its inception, Language Laboratory has been looked after by a committee comprising of faculty members of the Department of English.
The Language :
In the language classes English and Hindi are taught to the students. English classes are divided into four sections, i.e, i) Social Communication Skills, ii) Reading Skills, iii) Listening Skills, iv) IPA & Pronunciation. Later, Grammar Skills was also introduced. For Hindi classes, Basic Hindi Skills classes are taught.
The Teachers/ Instructors:
Faculty members of the Department of English, Govt Saiha College are engaged for English Classes, while a Hindi instructor is hired from outside the college teaching faculty.
